If you enjoy most Johnny Depp films chances are you have been counting the minutes until Transcendence hit theaters. Depp plays Will Caster who gets shot and transfers his consciousness to a computer so he can save everything he knows and keep his personality but then it all goes haywire.
The reviews for Transcendence are not really good as you can see below but the film was just released out on Netflix and Redbox and you can now watch it on your computer.
It tries to be more introspective , more intelligent, more contemplative. It fails, of course. It fails because the ideas that TRANSCENDENCE tries to convey are so silly, and rather than genuinely explore our relationship with an increasingly technological world, it takes the stupider route. There isn’t a plot point that we don’t see coming a mile away, and there isn’t a single character that doesn’t behave like a bad plot construct rather than a real person.
This is a very expensive film that nonetheless has the narrative claustrophobia of a far cheaper production.
Indeed, long before the Web goes bust, “Transcendence” has already flatlined.
If you are a fan of the genre, the concepts explored in Transcendence are evocative, even if the ideas are imperfectly expressed. Ultimately, the film is a missed opportunity, though; long on ideas and short on execution.

If you enjoyed the first Captain America chances are you have been counting the minutes until it’s sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier hit theaters. Cap’ isn’t fighting just bad guys in this film. He’s up against his old buddy who you thought got killed in the first one.
The reviews for Captain America 2 are both really good and really bad as you can see below but the film was just released out on Netflix and Redbox and you can now watch it on your computer.
The defrosted Marvel hero, last seen in “The Avengers,” is in the right place in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” His 2011 debut was set in World War II, while this rousing, terrific film is a product of our era, full of dangerous drones and stolen digital intel.
Part of what makes the action so stand-out is how often it feels natural. There’s CGI at work here, don’t get me wrong, but it’s nowhere near the CGI-fest that previous Marvel films have tended to be.
With a mix of effective character moments, viscerally thrilling action, humor, intrigue, and surprising heart, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is one of Marvel Studios’ strongest entries to date. This one is in fact a game changer.
Though “The Winter Soldier” lacks the special period luster of “The First Avenger,” craft contributions are generally topnotch, especially the sharp D.C. location shooting of d.p. Trent Opaloch (“District 9, “Elysium”) and Henry Jackman’s rousing, propulsive score (incorporating bits of Alan Silvestri’s “First Avenger” fanfare). Sci-fi geeks of a certain age will get a special kick out of seeing “Logan’s Run” ingenue Jenny Agutter reprising her brief “Avengers” role as a member of the U.N.-ish “World Security Council,” and busting out some highly impressive karate moves to boot.
Chris Evans will be back for the next Avengers next year but if you are a huge fan maybe you should see Captain America 2 in theaters.

Manny Pacquiao had an opportunity to win back his WBO welterweight title from Timothy Bradley live on pay-per-view at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bradley had a chip on his shoulder and wanted to prove his first win over Pacman was not a fluke while Pacquiao desperately needed to shut up the critics and show the world that at 35 he is still the best in the world.
Did Pacquiao get his belt back or did Bradley find a way to keep his title tonight in Vegas? It was a crazy fight and might not have played out like you thought. Check out the video below.

Tonight is one of the biggest nights in boxing history. Manny Pacquiao is back in the ring tonight against Timothy Bradley for the WBO welterweight title after their first bout in which Bradley come out on top. Pacquiao is one of the biggest draws in the sport and people always tune in to watch when he fights but after a surprising knockout loss to rival Juan Manuel Marquez Pacman many began to wonder if he still had it. Pacman answered the critics by winning a decision over Brandon Rios last Fall to earn the rematch with Bradley. Tonight could be his last shot at the belt if he comes up short. At 35 years of age the critics are starting to write him off.
Pacquiao is one of the biggest draws in the sport and people always tune in to watch when he fights due to his uncanny ability to win big fights. But if you are stuck at work and can’t order the pay per view luckily it can be watched online for free.
If you are willing to fork over 50 bucks to watch the event you can will find it on your local cable provider like Charter or satellite like Dish or DirectTV.
You could also go to a sportsbar like Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings that usually has UFC and WWE shows. Another route is to get on Facebook to see if any friends are watching it. Another option is to get on Wrestling, UFC, and boxing forums. You know hardcore fans are going to know where to watch the event live and will tell other fans where to go. Sopcast is also popular. If you can stand to wait a little bit the match will be on Youtube late tonight and you can catch it in the office in the morning before work. Another place to look tomorrow would be torrent sites. I’ve noticed that they are uploaded and available early the next day.

Everyone loves Wrestlemania. John Cena isn’t in the main event this year and will face Bray Wyatt on the undercard. This year the show revolves around Daniel Bryan who is facing Triple and will likely go on to face Batista and Randy Orton for the title in the main event. Don’t forget that Undertaker is back to face Brock Lesnar as well. Hulk Hogan is back to host the event.
What do you do if you are broke? You could get out and go to a sports bar like B-Dubs or Hooters that will be showing the event and spend a your entire paycheck on chicken wings and beer or you could suck it up and shell out 50 or 60 bucks to see the show in your own living room where the beer is free. Luckily we have the internet and you can find anything online if you know just where to look.
The WWE and Vince McMahon have made it easy for you to find out where to watch it online and elsewhere and how to order it. You can go their website for all the different places it is offered. DirectTV, Dish, Comcast and just about every other provider will have it available. You can even order it on WWE.com for $54.95. It may not be on the bigscreen but it’ll have to do on your laptop. You can also subscribe to the WWE Network for 10 bucks as long as you sign up for 6 months.
The Usos vs. Los Matadores vs. Caesaro and Swagger vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel will kick off the show live on the WWE Network at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. It will be free as long as you are a subscriber to the WWE Network. But if you have no intention of paying for the rest of the event due to the high pay per view fees there are places on line that will offer it but it will be a stream and likely not very good quality. There are some sites that will have pirated streams up but they always get taken down right away and are extremely unreliable. Another option that I use for most UFC pay per views is to wait until the next day and go watch it at someone’s house who DVR’d it. Or if you want to wait just watch WWE RAW on Monday night they will quickly fill you in on what went down.
Below is the full card for Wrestlemania 30;
Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
The Usos vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel, Swagger and Caesaro, and Los Matadores
Christian vs. Sheamus
Shield vs New Age Outlaws and Kane
Divas Championship Invitational
You could always hop on your private jet if your pilot is on call and head to Miami if you want to see the show in person but tickets are sold out. But if you have a private plane chances are you won’t mind paying high prices from a scalper for tickets to get in the show.
One more thing-stay off your phone. Social media sites will have the results so unless you want the show spoiled don’t get on Facebook.

Russell Crowe is back on the silver screen but this time as Noah. The film has been picked apart by Bible-thumpers and has been cheered and jeered by those in the church. We all know the story from Genesis but seeing a filmaker’s adaption is another thing altogether, especially when it’s something you learned and believed to be a certain way as a child.
The reviews for Noah are mixed as you can see below but the film was just released out on Netflix and Redbox and you can now watch it on your computer.
“This film’s inscrutable oddness — and the willingness to take chances — brought me to a place that could not have predicted. During the film’s third act I had no idea how this movie was going to end. Seriously. Even more exciting, once the credits rolled, I had to spend some time to work out how I felt. In fact, I’m still thinking about it.”
Noah is a good movie made by good filmmakers who pursue important questions and think of movies as art.
“Noah” is occasionally clumsy, ridiculous and unconvincing, but it is almost never dull, and very little of it has the careful, by-the-numbers quality that characterizes big-studio action-fantasy entertainment.
Noah is not about the animals. Despite its clumsy beginning, it’s a deft and daring exploration of Noah and his family, a film teeming with meaningful artistic choices that both lauds and curses faith in the very same breath.

Philadelphia shocked most fans around the league when they released All-Pro receiver DeSean Jackson earlier today. There had been rumors that Jackson had ties to gangs and he had always been known as a diva in the locker room over the years. It’s a little ironic since it is only two years after Jackson signed a five-year contract extension. Now he is a free agent and teams are lining up to see if they can make a deal.
Jackson spoke out about the situation in a statement he released today.
“First I would like to thank the Eagles organization, the Eagles fans and the city of Philadelphia for my time in Philly,” the statement read. “I would also like to thank [former] coach Andy Reid for bringing me in.
“Secondly, I would like to address the misleading and unfounded reports that my release has anything to do with any affiliation that has been speculated surrounding the company I keep off of the field. I would like to make it very clear that I am not and never have been part of any gang. I am not a gang member, and to speculate and assume that I am involved in such activity off the field is reckless and irresponsible.
“I work very hard on and off the field and I am a good person with good values. I am proud of the accomplishments that I have made both on and off the field. I have worked tirelessly to give back to my community and have a positive impact on those in need. It is unfortunate that I now have to defend myself and my intentions. These reports are irresponsible and just not true. I look forward to working hard for my new team.”
Jackson even tweeted about it too.
One of his former teammates was pretty happy about the news Eagles center Jason Kelce tweeted the following today.
We’ll see how it shakes out but rumor has it the Jets

Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie and the gang are back for another crazy adventure. This time they are back battling an evil jewel thief who looks a lot like Kermit. The Muppets got a reboot in 2011 and in Muppets Most Wanted we get to see them star alongside Tina Fey and Ricky Gervaise.
The reviews for Muppets Most Wanted are mixed as you can see below but the film was just released out on Netflix and Redbox and you can now watch it on your computer.
San Francisco Gate
After successfully juggling several different storylines, the predictable ending is a bit of a thud. Maybe we’ve been spoiled by “The Lego Movie,” but there’s no surprising emotional wallop in “Muppets Most Wanted.” There are also far too few scenes involving the Swedish Chef, and not enough of Beaker either.
Muppets Most Wanted might have ended up as a worthy successor to The Muppets. Sadly, here he’s stuck in self-conscious gurning mode. As, it must be said, is the film itself. A wasted opportunity.
Before anyone huffs and puffs about sullying the good name of the Muppets, remember how these are gypsy showfolk singing for their supper, and are in no way above a little hucksterism to make a dollar. It’s that no foolin’ attitude, along with all the feel-good togetherness and personal growth and learning about the number 3, that makes the Muppets, and this movie, so special

If you enjoyed the Hunger Games chances are you have been counting the minutes until Divergent hit theaters. Theo James is poised to become a star this year and Shailene Woodley could follow in Jennifer Lawrence’s footsteps and become an A-lister by headlining the new franchise. Kate Winslet is the bad guy or girl who is set on destroying them both.
The reviews for Divergent are both really good and really bad as you can see below but the film was just released out on Netflix and Redbox and you can now watch it on your computer.
It’s rare that a movie is as good as the book on which it’s based. It’s even more unusual when it’s better.
NY Daily News
After nearly two and a half hours, you may still be hard-pressed to understand the point of “Divergent.” Let me save you some time: it’s to grab our cash as quickly as possible, before the Next Big Thing comes along.
Wall Street Journal
In all candor, and with all the amity I can muster, “Divergent” is as dauntingly dumb as it is dauntingly long.
Despite two strong lead performances and a welcome dose of female empowerment, this somber tale feels too familiar and formulaic.

Robbie Lawler limped into the UFC last February after only winning one of his last four fights in Strikeforce but after three straight wins in the Octagon the former Elite XFC middleweight champ find himself fighting #1 contender Johnny Hendricks for the belt in Dallas at UFC 171. If he could find a way to get the Lawler would complete one of the biggest turnarounds in MMA history.
Johny Hendricks is coming off a close loss to Georges St. Pierre last November and has been chomping at the bit to get another title shot.
Did Robbie Lawler complete his Cinderella story and upset Hendricks for the belt or did Hendricks finally get the belt he should’ve won last year? Check out the video below.
