Esteban Santiago Named Shooter at Fort Lauderdale Airport Shooting

After a crazy day at the Fort Lauderdale Airport which has seen 13 people shot and six people died. Esteban Santiago has been named as the shooter. Santiago had a military ID on him when he was taken into custody. He is 26 years old from New Jersey. The shooter had no injuries when he was arrested. Santiago is now being questioned by authorities and there is no motive for the shooting. According to the Sheriff only one person is in custody.

Esteban Santiago had reportedly checked his gun in a bag that flew in from Ft. Lauderdale from Canada. Santiago allegedly picked up his bag from baggage claim, took the gun out of his bag and started firing.

No motive is not yet known and we can’t find whether or not Santiago had a Twitter or Facebook account.

There are reports that a second gunman could be at the airport but it looks like that is not the case. The airport is on lock down and thousands of people are stuck in Ft. Lauderdale.

This is still developing and more will come out later today.
