Harrison Ford and other Star Wars Cast React to Death of Carrie Fisher

The world is still in shock after Carrie Fisher passed away yesterday. Fisher best known as Princess Leia from the Star Wars films was in the middle of a career resurgence after being featured in ‘The Force Awakens’ in 2015. After her passing her former co-stars spoke out about their friend.

Mark Hamill, her on-screen brother in the Star Wars films was heartbroken and tweeted a picture of the two together.

Harrison Ford gave a statement to People Magazine

Carrie was one-of-a-kind…brilliant, original, funny and emotionally fearless. She lived her life, bravely…My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her Mother Debbie, her brother Todd, and her many friends. We will all miss her.

Fisher revealed that she and Ford had an affair while filming Star Wars in 1977 in her book that came out last month.

Billy Dee Williams who played Lando released a statement on Twitter also expressing his sorrow.

Anthony Daniels who played C3PO in the films worked with Fisher in four Star Wars. On Christmas Eve he tweeted that he hoped she would recover from her heart attack.

Sadly he had to follow it up with an ever sadder one.

Lesser known actor David Prowse, also known as the man behind the Darth Vader mask also tweeted about his affection for Fisher.
