Ronda Rousey will make her return to the UFC on Dec. 30 at UFC 207. Rousey has been away for 13 months after getting knocked out by Holly Holm in Australia. The shocking KO was the first loss of Rousey’s career as she fell to the 7 to 1 underdog in one of the biggest upsets in MMA history.
Now it appears that “Rowdy” means business as she posted a picture to her Instagram account of herself in the gym. In the picture Rousey appears to be in top shape and the muscles in her back make her look ripped.
Rousey will face new UFC women’s banatamweight champion Amanda Nunes at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at UFC 207. Nunes won the belt from Miesha Tate in July. Since Rousey lost the title last November the belt has changed hands each time it was defended. Tate beat Holm then Nunes took out Tate. Now it’s Rousey’s turn to right the biggest wrong of her career and she will get that opportunity next week.
The UFC aired a video package of Rousey training during last week’s event on Fox. Rousey is shown going 110% in the gym and wants to get her title back. She appears to have the determination now we will have to tune into the pay per view next weekend to see if Rousey can get it done.
