Katniss Everdeen is back in Catching Fire and everyone is wondering if it will be as good as the first one that was a huge hit at the box office two years ago. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are back and this time the stakes are raised as President Snow tried to lute her back into the games and there is a love triangle between Katniss, Gale, and Peeta back home. Phillip Seymour Hoffman even shows up to add to the story as the chief gamemaker.

Here are some of the reviews that have started to trickle in for the Fall blockbuster.
“Catching Fire” isn’t a great work of art but it’s a competent, at times exciting movie and it does something that better, more artistically notable movies often fail to do: It speaks to its moment in time.”
“Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and Lenny Kravitz buzz around engagingly as Katniss’ entourage. You keep waiting for better zingers, which never arrive, but The Hunger Games isn’t about wit; it’s about blunt lessons in hypocrisy and class warfare, about to be waged but good.”
“Across the board, the new film boasts a noticeably spiffier, more confident feel than the first, even as the overriding impression is one of methodical responsibility to the source material.”
